Beyoncé Knowles has launched the Homecoming Scholars Award Programme for the 2018-2019 academic year, through her BeyGOOD initiative.

One winner from each of the 'historically black colleges and universities', including Xavier, Wilberforce, Tuskegee and Bethune-Cookman, will receive $25k to study in various fields, and Ivy McGregor, Director of Philanthropy and Corporate Relations at Parkwood Entertainment, commented 'We salute the rich legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. We honour all institutions of higher learning for maintaining culture and creating environments for optimal learning which expands dreams and the seas of possibilities for students'.
